Some of the most meaningful events of my life have taken place these last few years, and are about to take place in 2016. I have always loved what I do, but having certain experiences has caused me to value photography on an even deeper level. 2015 was my first year as a wedding photographer who has also been a married. Now, each time I photograph a wedding I think about the photographs from my own wedding that I treasure so much. Not only do I think about the final images, but how I felt while they were being taken. The experience of these major life events, is just as important as the finished product. When I look back at the weddings I photographed in 2015, I hope I was able to create for them the same joy I was blessed with on my wedding day, and the joy I experienced as their photographer. These weddings truly warmed my heart. I had the honor of photographing all kinds of different weddings for people who value memories with the people they love, and want those captured in a meaningful artistic way. Last year, I sailed into 2015 blissfully happy from my own fall 2014 wedding, and celebrated the New Year on my honeymoon. This may be the worst thing for a business owner to admit, but promotion took a back seat to my life. Instead I relied heavily on referrals, google rankings and reviews for booking weddings. Although it wasn’t my busiest wedding year to date, I can honestly say it was a year full of ideal clients. I loved each wedding I photographed so much. Each one left me with a full heart and a camera full of images that made me feel like I was meant to be there for them to capture these memories.
Now that it is officially a new year, I am super excited to once again have a calendar scattered with wonderful wedding clients, and still have availability for the fall of 2016. I am looking forward to the new memories captured and the people who will be brought into my life because of this wonderful job. As I say goodbye to 2015 and all the love that came with it, I wanted to share once again a few of my favorite wedding photographs from the year:
You captured so many beautiful moments!
