Family Session at Calico Ghost Town

I don’t know how to even begin to write about this family or my experience photographing them. It was absolutely so much fun. Every single one of Brandi and Adam’s children are incredibly beautiful. I may have teased Seth that I didn’t get any good photos of him at the end of the day, but of course that was a total lie. These kids are gorgeous!! It would be hard not to get a good photo of any of them. For their shoot, Brandi and Adam had the idea of going to Calico Ghost Town and playing up the Western Theme. This idea was fantastic and couldn’t have been a more perfect setting to photograph their 10 children. I loved their imagination, their thoughtfulness and their sense of humor. Of course what was most apparent was their love for each other. As we enjoyed the Calico Ghost Town, I would pick off groups of kids to photograph and periodically set up a shot with the entire family while the little ones waited in anticipation. Then they would be free, gun fights would ensue and if someone was “shot” they would fall to the ground and act out a true gun fight death. — Seriously, can you say coolest kids ever? At one point, after one of the littlest ones did something so adorable I think my heart melted right there in my chest, I made the joke about stealing one of them. After all, how long do you think it would take them to notice if one was missing? Oh but in this family, you would be noticed. Adam and Brandi have 10 absolutely unique individuals on their hands. AJ, Jeren, Noah, Priscilla, Seth, Micah, Marissa, Liam, Wyatt and Emma: getting to spend time with each one of you was a joy. Here are just a few of my favorite photos from the day.
