I just loved shooting this wedding. It was sweet and simple and full of love. From the moment Jennifer and Dominic met with me I could tell how in love they were. I was super excited to capture these memories for them. They got married at their church with their closest family and friends in attendance. Downtown Bakersfield Engagement Session for Laura and Margaret

Laura and Margaret are getting married this winter. I am so honored to be their photographer. If their wedding is anything like their engagement session it’s going to be full of laughter and sweet moments that make you realize you are in the presence of true love. I think getting to see couples in the very happiest phases of love, is probably the best thing about my job. When I say I am honored to do this, it’s not just something I say because I am suppose to be a lovey-gushy wedding photographer. I just think it’s rad that in this whole world, two people find someone that makes them feel special and secure. Then, those two people ask me to document that love between them. How cool is that? Pretty darn cool. Margaret and Laura, you two are amazing, and I could not be more excited to photograph your wedding day! I could just gush over these two women all day. Instead, I’ll just get to sharing my favorite photographs from their engagement session:

Bakersfield Wedding for Vanessa & Jeff

Vanessa is an incredible person, and so it’s no surprise she married a pretty wonderful guy. I have so much love for these two and their amazing family, I can’t even begin to put into words how honored I was to capture this day for them. It was absolutely stunning down to the very last detail. Their ceremony took place atSt. Philip the Apostle Church followed by a reception at the bride’s parent’s house. This wedding represented Vanessa and Jeff perfectly. It was beautiful and fun all at the same time. The decor was thoughtful and elegant, with elements of playfulness worked in. Big thanks to Linsey Middleton for second shooting! Bakersfield Padre Hotel Wedding for Nicole and Shun

The Wedding of Nikki and Steve

Oh Nikki and Steve! Where do I even begin? These two had the most beautiful wedding day. I’m still feeling all the warm fuzzies when I look at the photos. There were so many thoughtful and elegant details. My favorite being that the bride wore her grandmother’s wedding shoes from 1941! How unique and special is that? From the wedding party, the family, guests and every vendor… this was one of the nicest groups of people I had ever had the honor to work with. Bakersfield Wedding for Kristen and Joey

Kristen and Joey were married at Our Lady of Perpetual Help following a ceremony at Bakersfield Museum of Art. There were so many cute details at this wedding. The mint colored dresses, the cute drink cups, a dictionary as a guest book! Yet, my favorite thing about photographing this wedding was that it was truly a celebration of two families coming together, and the joy everyone was experiencing seemed off the charts. Even after all these years, I am still totally blown away how strangers can invite me into their lives for a such a special day. I learn a lot about these people in one day, and they will always have a special place in my heart. Especially when they are two incredibly kind hearted and beautiful people, like Kristen and Sean. Noriega House Wedding for Coy and Tori

I am so honored to be sharing this wedding. Coy Townson has photographed weddings with me for nearly as long as I’ve been photographing weddings. His family has become dear friends, and I have watched them raise three amazing children from little kids to nearly grown adults. So, it shouldn’t have been a surprise when one day, his son came to me and asked if I would shoot his wedding someday. I agreed to be his future wedding photographer, and then it seemed like I blinked, and “someday” had arrived. He had found Tori, and she was an absolutely amazing woman to share his life with. I am always honored when another photographer asks me to shoot for them, but especially this photographer, and this family. Briann and Ron’s wedding was one of my first 2016 weddings I put in my calendar, and the last ones I got to shoot. Nearly a year in the making, it was worth the wait!
