Where do I even begin? After Kristine and Eddie’s engagement session this amazing wedding should be no surprise. My first clue was that she was the maid of honor at Kassee and Aarons stunning Hollywood Wedding, and awesome taste usually runs in friend circles. Yet, despite all the bits and pieces of information I got pre-wedding day, seeing it all come together was just amazing!
Super personal and fun down to the last detail! They chose to showcase their vintage style and latin roots in a way that was exceptionally beautiful. It was very apparent being surrounded by their family and friends that Kristy and Eddie are very special people. From the minute I showed up to where the guys are getting ready, I could see it wasn’t just any wedding. Not only did they make it fit their personalities perfectly, but they were also very thoughtful about how they shared it with the people involved. This meant custom designed skate board decks for the groomsmen and custom made clutch purses for the bridesmaids. After the ceremony at St. Josephs, guests were served La Rosa outside the church. Seriously – how sweet is that?!
We stopped at Alley Cat along the way for some cool wedding party shots with their own cars. Then, to complete the evening, the reception was held at a gorgeous home. It was a backyard reception with a taco truck. I realize that is a huge understatement, but that is what it was. The backyard festivities included Mariachis, amazing food, colorful decor, and the cutest “put your head in a hole” photo board I have ever seen (designed by the bride herself)! This result is what happens when two fun people with mad style have a wedding.

The bouquet! Seriously the coolest thing I have ever seen. I learned it is called a Glamelia or a composite flower, a style that was popular in the 40’s. Kristy brought this back in an awesome way. It was the perfect bouquet to accent her wedding, and I have a feeling she is going to start a major trend among the vintage inspired bride. Her bouquet was made by Log Cabin Florist.
The guest book and candle favors were custom designed art. The reception shoes were Vivienne Westwood’s. The Bridesmaids wore vintage rockabilly style dresses by Stop Starring. The groomsman wore traditional guayabera shirts, with ben davis pants and vans shoes. The glam hair was by Gianna Lidgett and Clair Perez of Curl Up & Dye Salon. The make-up was by Michelle Schreiber of Tru Skin & Body.
wow….what a fun and uniquely styled wedding! And your right, that bouquet was amazing – and every detail just fit together. Congrats to the couple & great work as always!
I heart this wedding sooo much! I love all the detail. I especially loved her single flower bouquet. So awesome! Jen, you did such a great job capturing the detail. I really loved the night shots at the Alley Cat. The shadows on the back wall were spectacular. Very film noir! Which I can guess is just their style! Great job, aaasssss usual :o)
Thank you Denys! – You and Sarah are another example of “awesome taste running in friend circles!” I also love that you noticed the shadows (the one of them kissing is a fav of mine).
