Wedding season is about to kick off, but I’m still working in a few of portrait sessions here and there. Sometimes family sessions are more challenging for me. The romantic element with couples really does give me an extra something to work with. Yet, one element that is always there, is love. And yes, I can work with love. Sometimes love is sweet and subtle so you have to wait for the right moment to catch it. If you ever wonder why I feature so many in-between moments from my sessions, that’s why. I am attached to them far more than the perfect. It shows the real moments of life and the connection between people. This “sweet love” dynamic is something I really enjoy about family sessions. This week I had the honor of photographing a family’s first portraits together. I had photographed Jillian and Logan about 2 years ago, but this time their gorgeous mom joined them too. Oh love…
