Style and Approach

My style…
My style has derived from my personal aesthetic. I started taking photos based on what I thought was pretty. When I saw a photo I really loved, I studied the elements that made it so appealing to me. Then, developed my own system for creating those kinds of images. I love romance and sentiment. As an artist, I never want to be stagnant and I am always learning. Yet, I know who I am as a photographer.

I firmly believe it is important for photographers to develop a signature look. This helps couples weed through the sea of photographers by finding someone who matches their own style. Also, wedding photographers are booked so far in advance, how can a couple trust what they will get on their wedding day from someone who changes their style for every session? Although I am constantly evolving and learning, what you see on this site is me. This is what I think is beautiful and this is what I bring to the table.

My Approach (to Photography)
My approach is centered around the balance of capturing and creating.
I am not going to leave you hanging in front of my lens feeling awkward.
I will give you space to sink into a pose and be natural with each other.
I like to let moments happen.
I also give good direction.

(to Business)
I have an immense appreciation for
… referrals from fellow professionals and past clients
… for being asked to share in such a special day
… working in the creative industry

I believe in
hand written thank you cards
the power of love
and kindness.

I do not believe in barriers created by race, religion or gender.

I design everything.
InDesign is for albums.
Illustrator for Logos
Lightroom and Photoshop for making pretty pictures.
There is a tool for every job.
