Laura and Benjamin had the most beautiful Sentinel Beach Wedding at Yosemite National Park. The day began by inviting all their guests out to Sentinel Beach to witness their ceremony. The falls were a lovely backdrop, and we even had some ducklings in attendance. Laura wore the perfect BHLDN gown, and they embraced nature in so many of their details. Addy Rose Designs coordinated the ceremony and provided some beautiful bouquets for the ladies. The celebration then moved to Yosemite Lodge for a lunch. Music for the ceremony and lunch was provided by Bobby Jo Valentine. Not only did he play some of my all time favorite love songs, but his originals are just as beautiful. After lunch while the guests hiked and enjoyed Yosemite, Laura and Ben took portraits in the park.
Yosemite is a magical place. No matter how many times I visit, I never cease to be in awe of the natural beauty of this place. Now, combine the beauty of Yosemite with two amazing people in love… there are fewer things better. When I get to be a Yosemite wedding photographer, it makes my heart so happy, and this amazing day did not end there. In the evening, the festivities continued on to the Narrow Gauge in for a reception. Delicious food, tables adorned in vintage lanterns and wild flowers, the cutest cake ever, M&Ms with their faces on them and more amazing live music. For the reception, Laura and Ben chose The Pine Needles, a quartet from the San Francisco Bay area. Their blend of folk rock bluegrass perfectly complimented the day, and was the perfect way to end the celebration.
Thank you for asking me to be your Yosemite wedding photographer. (Wedding film coming soon, as well as a feature on our Two Wild Hearts page) Here are some of my favorite images from the day:
Could you ask for a better backdrop than blue skies and yosemite falls?! What a beautiful wedding – and that cake topper, so funny! I really loved the black and white ceremony shot and the last couple photo – so unique and beautiful, great job Jen!
Beautiful shots. Laura’s Mom (Linda) loved mallard ducks. How appropriate that there were so many of them present on her special day.
Loved seeing all the beautiful shots of the wedding. So sorry we could not attend, but the pictures made us feel as if we were there. What a lovely setting and beautiful weather.
